£45m-rated Premier League star forced off with shoulder injury in big Liverpool transfer blow

FULHAM’S Joao Palhinha suffered a suspected shoulder injury last night amid interest from West Ham. 

The Hammers are desperate to land the Portuguese midfielder as a replacement for Declan Rice but saw a £45million bid rejected last week, with Liverpool also believed to be keen.

Palhinha had to be withdrawn in the friendly against Brentford

But Palhinha, 28, could now face a lengthy spell on the sidelines after being withdrawn from last night’s friendly against Brentford in Philadelphia. 

He received lengthy treatment at the Lincoln Financial Field before leaving the pitch in obvious discomfort following a collision with Yoane Wissa.
