ALISHA LEHMANN appears to have got back together with Premier League star Douglas Luiz after she shared pictures of them together on New Year’s Eve.

SunSport exclusively revealed in November that the couple – who play for Aston Villa Women and Aston Villa respectively – had split up after a one-year romance.

It is understood they broke up following heated arguments over a calendar which Lehmann unveiled in September.

But it appears they have rekindled their affection for one another as Lehmann posted snaps of them together over the festive period.

On Monday, the Swiss forward gave fans a glimpse into the New Year’s Eve party she attended – which saw her pictured alongside loved ones and a host of white balloons.

And in a couple of the images was Villa midfielder Luiz.

One showed the pair gazing into each other’s eyes while smiling.

Another saw Luiz placing a hand around Lehmann’s waist.

Lehmann added the caption: “Happy 2024 🎉♥.”

And Luiz responded: “I love you ❤.”

In early 2022, Lehmann gave up her rented penthouse apartment to move into Luiz’s £1.5million five-bed house in Sutton Coldfield, Birmingham.

Lehmann, who also played for West Ham and Everton on loan, previously had a relationship with her Switzerland teammate Ramona Bachmann.

She has scored 12 goals in 62 appearances for Villa – who sit ninth in the Women’s Super League.

Meanwhile, Luiz has enjoyed a sensational season under Unai Emery, contributing seven goals and five assists in 28 matches – including the winner in a 3-2 victory over Burnley on December 30.

The Midlands club are flying high in second place in the Premier League table, just three points adrift of leaders Liverpool.

They are also through to the last 16 of the Europa Conference League.
