ANGE POSTECOGLOU dropped to his knees in despair after Pedro Porro failed to convert a golden chance against Liverpool.
Tottenham earned a shock 1-0 win over Arne Slot’s side after enjoying the better chances in the first leg of their Carabao Cup semi-final.

Spurs worked hard but frustrated the home fans after missing several opportunities to take the lead against Liverpool.
But Postecoglou couldn’t believe his eyes when Porro fluffed two glorious chances in succession from close range in the 55th minute.
Alisson was caught napping on the ball by Lucas Bergvall, who brilliantly chased down the Brazilian in his area.
The hard-working 18-year-old then re-emerged behind the sloppy Alisson to poke the ball into Porro’s path.
Porro’s first time shot was blocked by Virgil van Dijk before the ball quickly bounced out to Bergvall, who put Porro through again.
But the Spanish full-back failed to convert from eight yards as he chipped wide with the goal gaping.
A perplexed Postecoglou turned to his bench and covered his eyes in disbelief before stumbling back around to fall to his knees.
The Aussie gaffer then punched the turf in agony, before jumping back up to his feet.

It’s been a sluggish start to 2025 for Liverpool, who dropped points against Man Utd on Sunday and were below their best tonight.
Meanwhile, Spurs midfielder Rodrigo Bentancur was rushed to hospital after a sickening fall inside 15 minutes.
The midfielder landed awkwardly after attempting to head the ball unchallenged at a corner.
The Uruguayan received treatment for around eight minutes and was given oxygen as he was taken off on a stretcher.
Tottenham confirmed Bentancur was speaking and announced he would be taken to hospital for further checks.
Former Anfield striker Dominic Solanke had a brilliant 77th minute finish disallowed after he was judged to have been marginally offside.
But Bergvall stole the show when his first club goal put Spurs 1-0 up with four minutes of normal time remaining.
Liverpool manager Slot was furious as Bergvall had seemingly escaped a second yellow just a minute before scoring.
The Swedish midfielder had already been booked before he lunged into Liverpool full-back Kostas Tsimikas.
Injury treatment rules meant Tsimikas was forced to walk off the pitch and wait 10 seconds as Spurs scored their winner.
Meanwhile, Liverpool’s 24-match unbeaten run came to an end and host Spurs in the second leg on February 6.
