ONE of the most unlikely partnerships in sport formed after Anthony Joshua helped champion jockey Oisin Murphy fight back against hackers.

A fake post on Irish jockey Murphy’s Instagram account claimed he made £10,000 in three hours from ‘bitcoin mining’.

A seemingly doctored photo of a Lloyds bank account was posted to his 69,000 followers along with the message encouraging ‘ya’ll to check out this 100 per cent real and legitimate opportunity’.

Murphy posted on Twitter: “Not very important but my Instagram account has been hacked.

“Please ignore strange activity from my account, oisindmurphy.”

But four hours after that post an even weirder one went out.

Murphy tagged former heavyweight champ Joshua in a post thanking him for getting his page back.

He also later posted a photo showing the account had been accessed from Nigeria.

The message read: “Thank you to @anthonyjoshua team for helping me regain control of my Instagram account.”

Followers were left scratching their heads as to how the heck duo got together.

One said: “Wow! That’s not a story we were expecting to hear.”

Another wrote: “Things you never thought you’d ever see in a million years.”

One comment read: “Could’ve given me 1000 guesses and I would never have put these two together.”

While another said: “Anthony Joshua coming out of nowhere, pure class.”

And a fellow Twitter user posted: “Well I wasn’t expecting this outcome.”

A tale of the tape between the pair would be funny, with 5ft 6ins Murphy weighing just 8st 7lb against 6ft 6ins Joshua‘s hulking 17st 5lbs frame.

Joshua will step in for Tyson Fury for his axed December 23 bout against Oleksandr Usyk in Saudi Arabia.

The Gypsy King was due to take on Usyk in the Kingdom but needs more time to recover from his Francis Ngannou fight.

So AJ has swooped to save the card with a fight against giant Swedish southpaw Otto Wallin.

Meanwhile, former Flat champion jock Murphy is continuing to race in the UK on the all-weather now the turf season has finished.
