Ruiz is on good terms with his old foe[/caption] Anthony Joshua impressed in his stoppage win over Otto Wallin[/caption]After his win Joshua walked to the edge of the ring and beckoned over Ruiz, who took his world championship belt off him in 2019.
The Brit leant over the ropes and shook hands with Ruiz before putting his fist to his heart.
Ruiz smiled in return and put his thumbs up, with the pair clearly on good terms despite their history.
Joshua, 34, beat Ruiz in their Saudi Arabian rematch to take back his world championship titles six months after his first-ever loss.
The heavyweight is still on a quest to become world champion for a third time following his back-to-back defeats to Oleksandr Usyk.
And he helped his chances of a world title showdown after cruising to victory over Wallin.
Joshua landed 53 punches in just five rounds against the big Swede, who managed just 25 in return.
Wallin’s team called a halt to the contest after the fighter suffered a suspected broken nose, with medics attending to him in the ring.
