ARSENAL are keen on signing Palmeiras star Danilo, according to reports.
Danilo, 20, has impressed in a defensive midfield role for the Brazilian side and helped them to the Copa Libertadores title last year.Danilo has impressed in his short career with Palmeiras[/caption]
And he has a number of suitors including Lille and Monaco as well as Arsenal.
All three clubs have inquired about Danilo’s availability, according to TNT Sports.
But they were told he is not for sale this month due to his importance to the side – with Palmeiras due to take part in the Club World Cup next month.
As a result, Arsenal have not yet made an offer for Danilo with Palmeiras refusing to enter negotiations.
That means the Gunners may have to wait until the summer to attempt to sign him.
But Mikel Arteta has confirmed Arsenal are looking to do business this month and signing a midfielder is high on his agenda.
