Players boarded the team coach this morning with kick-off set for 12pm.

But there was no sign of Arsenal as the Seagulls wondered where their opponents were.

It turns out that the bus carrying the Arsenal team had took a wrong turn off the M25.

They realised they were not going to make it in time and therefore decided to turn back to their London Colney training base.

Arsenal postponed the game with them about 90 minutes from the south coast.

Rumours had spread they arrived at the wrong club and thought they were playing Bournemouth but SunSport understand these reports are incorrect.

The game will now be played at a later date after it was called off.

Arsenal, unlike their team bus, were heading in the right direction on the field after a slow start to the season.

They were unbeaten in their last three games, winning two and drawing one.

Jack Wilshere is the team’s manager.

Meanwhile, Brighton have struggled this term, clinching victory just once in eight Under-18 Premier League games.
