He still has more two years remaining on his Aston Villa contract but is unlikely to play for the club again.

Now he is being lined up with another loan move amid interest from MLS clubs – including David Beckham’s Inter Miami, according to Spanish outlet AS.

Coutinho, 31, could be tempted by the move as he would link up with former Barcelona team-mates Lionel Messi, Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba.

LA Galaxy have also been credited with an interest in the Brazilian, who is reportedly on £125,000 a week at Villa Park.

Coutinho has scored four goals in nine games for Al-Duhail, sparking Inter Miami‘s interest.

Gerardo Martino’s side finished second bottom in the Eastern Conference in 2023 but won the Leagues Cup thanks to Messi’s impact.

Coutinho’s career has stuttered since his mega £146million move to Barcelona from Liverpool in 2018.

He made 106 appearances at the Nou Camp before joining Bayern Munich on loan, winning the Bundesliga and Champions League in 2020.

He scored 11 goals in 36 games for the German side before returning to Barcelona, where he spent most of his time on the bench.

The 31-year-old then joined Villa on loan in 2022 and initially looked to have resurrected his career in the Premier League.

But he lost his place under Emery and was frozen out before being shipped out to the Middle East.
