Aymeric Laporte transfer odds: Unsettled Man City star tipped for La Liga switch amid Chelsea and Crystal Palace links

AYMERIC LAPORTE is likely to swap the Premier League for La Liga this summer.

That’s certainly the view of bookmakers Sky Bet anyway, who make former side Athletic Bilbao the most likely destination, should he quit Manchester City.

They’re even money to re-sign Laporte, who they sold to City for £57million in 2018 – his release clause.

Laporte made 222 appearances for Bilbao in his first spell at the club, which saw him break into the France under-21 set-up – before his switch of allegiance to Spain.

It’s then huge odds for Tottenham (20/1) and Newcastle (25/1) to sign him.

And despite social media and media reports suggesting Chelsea and Crystal Palace are two others interested, it’s just those three sides in the betting market to sign him.

Laporte’s game time at the Etihad has been severely dented in the past year and a half, with Ruben Dias, John Stones, Manuel Akanji and Nathan Ake all ahead of him in the pecking order.

Since his move, he’s clocked up 179 appearances in the sky blue.

And he’s won five Premier Leagues, three League Cups, two FA Cups and last year’s historic Champions League in the process.

But it was just 24 appearances in all competitions last season, with some of those being minutes from the bench, too.
