Banned Newcastle star Sandro Tonali spotted wearing incredible watch that cost him nearly a month’s wages

SANDRO TONALI is counting down the seconds until he returns for Newcastle – and some fans have speculated that he is doing it in some style.

In fact, eagle-eyed supporters have noticed that the £210,000-a-week Italian midfielder appears to be wearing a blue Richard Mille Rafael Nadal timepiece.

And it could have set back the 24-year-old ace over half a month’s wages if it is.

Newcastle were rocked when he was hit with a 10-month suspension for breaching betting regulations just 12 weeks after he joined from AC Milan for £55m last year.

Now, after he attended rehabilitation to help his self-confessed gambling addiction, the end of that is in sight with Tonali’s ban up on August 27.

Tonali will be free to make his Premier League return in front of the Sky Sports cameras against Tottenham on Sunday 1 September.

But he will also be able to feature in Toon’s yet-to-be-drawn Carabao Cup second round tie on August 27 or 28 in his first competitive match.

The clock is ticking for him, and he can watch the agonising final countdown on his incredible watch.

He has been in Germany this week with the rest of Eddie Howe’s squad for a pre-season trip.

The club have been keen to share several snaps from the camp – including ones of Tonali.

One of those showed the ex-Milan man riding a bike while another spotted him holding a boot.

And on both of them he had a watch on that looked remarkably like the Richard Mille model.

If so, then it costs a whopping £448,480 to buy – and shipping costs alone will set you back an eyewatering £85,786.

Fans were quick to spot his expensive and stylish timepiece in the photos, and they did not waste any time in commenting on it on X.

Although one fan hysterically joked: “Off to make the bairn a ‘Sandro, Can I have your Watch sign’ on the back of a cornflakes box.”
