BIDDERS are jumping through hoops to net basketball gear from legends Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant.

A pair of sneakers worn by Chicago Bulls great Jordan in the 1996 NBA finals is expected to fetch more than £300,000 in an online auction.

The black and red Air Jordan 11s are signed on the soles.

They were given to two Seattle Sonics ballboys after a game, with the Bulls going on to win the championship.

And the late Kobe Bryant’s LA Lakers jersey from a 2009 finals game — where he scored a record 40 points — has a guide price of £2million.

They are up for auction as part of Sotheby’s Sports Week in New York.

A Sotheby’s said: “Sotheby’s is proud to present Kobe Bryant’s game worn jersey from Game 1 of the 2009 NBA Finals, the greatest NBA Finals performance of Kobe’s career.”

Muhammad Ali’s signed shorts from his 1975 “Thrilla in Manila” fight with Joe Frazier could fetch £5million.

Bids — including the latest for $3.8 million — have been rolling in since late March for the Everlast-brand shorts – which are signed by the late boxing great.

Sotheby’s Sports Week began yesterday and runs until April 12.
