EMMA LOUISE JONES has given fans an update on her health after taking a step back from work.
The fan-favourite BBC presenter revealed that she underwent surgery last month.

The presenter also admitted that she has been spending her time walking her dog and gardening after being “stuck” in bed for “months”.
She gave her fans the update on social media by posting on Instagram for her 424K followers.
She wrote: “Hello! Thank you for all of your lovely messages checking in about my health.
“I had an op a month ago. I’m on high-dose steroids and trialling other medication and (touch wood) I’m feeling so much stronger.
“Life is very simple right now.
“I spend my days walking Teddy, painting and gardening (Nanna would be proud).”
Emma continued as she insisted that she is aiming to return to work in a “few weeks”.
“I’m hoping to slowly return to work in a few weeks, but after months of being stuck in bed in pain, I’m just grateful that I feel stronger each day.
“Life is beautiful.”
Emma is a devout Leeds United supporter who joined the Beeb three years ago.
She has a Masters degree in Broadcast Journalism and began her career as a freelance journalist for Channel 5 News.
Since then, Jones has been a travel reporter and presenter on radio as well as for her beloved Whites.
Well-wishing responses swarmed in after her health announcement.
One fan posted: “Wishing you a speedy recovery!”
A second wrote: “Glad to hear you’re on the mend Emma will say a prayer.”
A third commented: “Great to hear you are starting to feel better, hope you have a quick recovery.”
A fourth said: “So pleased to hear this. Sending all my best wishes to you.”
Another added: “Brilliant news Emma, take your time and make sure you are ok before rushing back to work.”
