He will reportedly earn £415,000-a-week in Germany, making him one of the highest-paid English footballers of all time.

But when he completes the switch, Kane will also become the latest in a long line of stars to have played abroad professionally.

SunSport have assembled a squad of the best players currently appearing for a non-British team, starting with Kane and the most expensive English player of all time – Jude Bellingham.

Bellingham joined Real Madrid in a £115m transfer from Borussia Dortmund in June.

He had been linked with a move to Manchester City, Liverpool, Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain respectively before swapping Germany for Spain, but eventually insisted on joining the 14-time Champions League winners.

The 20-year-old midfielder has already scored once in four pre-season appearances for Los Blancos.

And he is set to play a huge role in Carlo Ancelotti’s squad when the new La Liga campaign kicks off.

England midfielder Jordan Henderson has also completed a huge move abroad this summer.

The former Liverpool captain swapped Anfield for Saudi Arabia last month when he completed a £13million switch to Al-Ettifaq.

He is set to earn a whopping £700,000-A-WEEK with the Saudi Pro League side, but his decision to move has seen him face backlash from fans.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek completes the midfield trio of England stars playing abroad.

The 27-year-old, who had been with Chelsea for 19 years before leaving Stamford Bridge in June, completed a move to AC Milan.

He joined up with former Chelsea teammate Fikayo Tomori upon his arrival at the San Siro, who has also starred for the Three Lions.

Tomori, who joined AC Milan on a permanent basis in 2021, has made three senior appearances for England.

He has established himself as one of the stars of the Serie A, along with former Manchester United defender Chris Smalling.

Smalling, who made 31 England appearances between 2011 and 2017, joined Roma in 2020 and quickly experienced a resurgence in form.

He has since made 143 appearances for the Italian giants.

Ex-Chelsea ace Tammy Abraham is also a key member of Jose Mourinho’s Roma squad.

He joined the club in a £34m transfer from the Blues in 2021 and played a crucial role in helping the team to the inaugural Europa Conference League title.

Reece Oxford is another England-born ace starring abroad.

The former West Ham prospect joined FC Augsburg in 2019 and has since appeared 80 times.

He is one of several England stars playing in Germany.

Teen superstar Jamie Bynoe-Gittens has taken the Bundesliga by storm since making his senior debut for Borussia Dortmund in April 2022.

The 19-year-old has since scored three goals in 24 first team appearances.

Former Tottenham star Marcus Edwards is now enjoying a successful spell in Portugal.

The midfielder joined Sporting Lisbon in a £6.5m transfer in January 2022 and has since scored 15 goals and provided 17 assists.

Essex-born goalkeeper Etienne Green previously represented France at youth level, but he switched his international allegiance in August 2021.

Although he switched his allegiance to England two years ago, he has always played football in France.

The 23-year-old is now with Ligue 2 side St Etienne.
