Man Utd probably didn’t want the international break to come, finishing on a high in THAT dramatic extra time FA Cup win over Liverpool.

Erik ten Hag’s side looked good for a lot of that game and need to make sure that momentum hasn’t been lost with the two-week gap.

They lost their last away game at Man City but there’s no great shame in that and they had won all six of their previous games away from Old Trafford.

They’re six points behind Tottenham who sit fifth at the moment and nine points off fourth placed Aston Villa – though do have a game in hand over Unai Emery’s side.

So they can’t really afford many – if any – more slip ups in their quest for Champions League football next season.

The Bees have won one, drawn one and lost seven of their last nine games and are very much in the relegation picture given that current form.

In truth, they’d be a lot closer to trouble too if Nottingham Forest and Everton had avoided a points penalty this season.

They sit five clear of Forest who are in 18th heading into the weekend and really need to start picking up points.

Main marksman Ivan Toney will be buoyed by his first England goal in midweek.
