However, Caicedo has said no to Liverpool, with his preference being to join Chelsea.

Brighton boss De Zerbi, however, has insisted he has already “forgotten” about Caicedo and is focused on the players in his team.”

During his press conference, he said: “I would like to only answer one time, I have already forgotten Moises”

“I am really proud for the players we have in the squad.”

Furthermore, the Italian has insisted that he would like more players to arrive in order to “complete” his squad and also insisted that rival clubs can not buy Brighton’s “soul” or “spirit”.

He added: “I think we have to complete the squad, we want to improve the squad. We lost Mac Allister, Colwill and Caicedo.

“I think we have to be ready for when players leave it is because they played well and for us and the club.

“I think the clubs can buy our players but they can not buy our soul or our spirit, that is not on the market.”
