TOM ASPINALL has dropped a huge hint that he could be a late addition to UFC 300.

The fast-approaching historic pay-per-view card – which takes place in Las Vegas on April 13 – is still without a main event.

Rumours are rife over who will top the bill of the Sin City extravaganza, which will feature a litany of former champions.

Newly-crowned interim heavyweight champion Aspinall revealed to SunSport last last year that he’d be willing to defend his belt on the card.

And the Wigan warrior has teased a title defence against light-heavyweight champion Alex Pereira on the card.

Aspinall sent MMA fans into a frenzy with an Instagram story of a flight search to Las Vegas during the week of UFC 300.

And the post included the Easter Island emoji – which has been co-opted by the stoic and stone-faced Pereira.

Fight fans were quick to comment, with one saying: “This is the fight to save UFC 300.”

Another said: “To be honest, UFC 300 needs it.”

And another said: “I’ll actually pay to see this.”

One remarked: “Tom Aspinall vs Alex Pereira would be cool to watch.”

Another chimed in: “If Pereira accepts this fight then he wants to end his career.”

Aspinall, 30, has since doubled down on his willingness to fight at UFC 300 and welcome two-division champ Pereira to heavyweight.

He said on his TikTok: “On my end, I’ve heard nothing so far.

“As I’ve said plenty of times before, I’m not one to turn down fights.

“I’m not particularly looking for that fight [against Alex Pereira], but if it’s available and they offer it to me, I will take it. I’m ready to fight.”

He added: “There’s been a lot of shouts about who I should fight next.

“I’m ready to fight. Let me know. It’s as simple as that. Let me know who and where.

“I’m like the easiest guy ever to entice to a fight. Every time the UFC has asked me to fight, I said yeah.

“I’ve never even questioned who, when, where, anything like that. Make me an offer, and it’s highly likely I’ll say yeah.”
