MICAH RICHARDS has given fans an insight into what it’s like on CBS Sports’ fan-favourite Champions League show.
The unconventional coverage has captured the attention of football fans all over the globe in recent years – and their most recent viral moment included a cameo from internet sensation IShowSpeed.

The Champions League panel is usually made up of star-studded trio Micah Richards, Jamie Carragher and Thierry Henry, with Kate Scott (previously Abdo) presenting the broadcast.
And their on-air antics regularly rack up millions of views when clipped up and shared on social media.
Things like shock appearances from David Beckham, Carragher drinking pints live on TV with Borussia Dortmund fans and press-up competitions between Premier League icons are just a few of the crazy moments on the CBS show.
This week’s coverage was no different as streamer and social media star IShowSpeed joined the panel for arm-wrestling, racing Carragher and discussing the Sidemen Charity Football Match.
But one of their most viral clips from his cameo, which picked up over 500,000 views on X, was a video of IShowSpeed being turned away from the TV studio by security.
But now Micah Richards has revealed that the clip sweeping the internet was actually STAGED.
Speaking on the Rest is Football podcast, Richards said: “On Tuesday he came to the show, but we set it up and everything like the security had turned him away.
“It was a gimmick, of course it was, to get people talking. That was a gimmick. That bit was set up.”

Richards also revealed that the coverage of IShowSpeed, whose real name is Darren Watkins Jr, and Carragher going head-to-head was all pre-planned too.
The inside secrets of CBS don’t stop there either.
Richards was probed on why the US coverage takes such an unusual approach to showing the football by podcast co-host Gary Lineker.
Revealing that the broadcaster chooses to push the boundaries so their content can reach countries where they don’t have the rights to show the actual football and their tactical breakdown of it.
The former Man City star said: “If you look at what CBS have created over the last four/five/six years, since they’ve been doing the Champions League.
“They’ve absolutely nailed it with the crew that they get.”
He added: “Because we don’t have the rights to show the tactical things in [the UK], we do all the tactical stuff before and it goes out in America – and we do some really good tactical things.
“But how do you get an audience to engage? People like to see the fun stuff that we do. So they’ve just hammered social media”.
