Mauricio Pochettino‘s side picked up a stunning point after a dramatic late penalty in a 4-4 thriller against Manchester City.

Former City ace Palmer’s spot-kick in the 95th minute capped one of the Premier League’s greatest games.

Fans seemed that Kovacic, 29, was secretly pleased as he discreetly clenched his fist after his former team scored.

The speculated celebration was caught on camera and it has left fans weeping that the Croatian is still a Blue at heart.

One fan said: “He’s still one of us 🤤

Another added: “Kovacic celebrated our equaliser… PROPER CHELS.”

While third put: “Oh My God, bring him home😭😭.”

A fourth then amusingly said: “You can take the man out of Chelsea, but you can’t take Chelsea out of the man.”

The midfielder spent the 2018-19 season on loan at Stamford Bridge from Spanish giants Real Madrid.

He then made a permanent move to West London the next term for an underwhelming campaign with ex-Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri.

But Kovacic then became one of the most important players for the Blues under Frank Lampard and went on to make 221 appearances.

The Croatian international secured a Champions League, Europa League, UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup for Chelsea.

But in June he became the third from his country to sign with the season’s Premier League champs City.
