But Blues boss Pochettino has recalled the midfielder, who was set to stay at the King Power Stadium until the summer.
And fans are convinced this means Gallagher will be heading out the exit door as a result.
One supporter said: “GALLAGHER SOLDDDDDD.”
And a second agreed: “GALLAGHER GETTING SOLD.”
A third then chipped in to say: “That’s a Gallagher deal agreed then I assume.”
The Italian ace spent the second half of last season in the Championship where the Royals ended up being relegated to League One after finishing 22nd in the table.
However, he has had a more successful stint on loan at Leicester who are top of the Championship with three goals in 25 appearances.

And Gallagher has 18 months left on his contract at Chelsea, meaning the club need to decide on the 23-year-old’s future.
Newcastle, Tottenham, West Ham and Everton have all shown an interest in signing Gallagher.
And Chelsea would be willing to sell the midfielder provided it is for the right price.
Meanwhile, other fans have also claimed that Casadei’s return is due to an ongoing injury crisis at the club, including that to Romeo Lavia, or that Gallagher is on his way.
The 19-year-old midfielder joined from Southampton late into the summer transfer window but has been nursing an ankle issue since his arrival.
A fan said: “Either Lavia’s injury is worse than feared, or Gallagher is getting sold.”
Another added: “eeeeeerrrrrrrr someone’s either getting sold or someone has a catastrophic injury.”
