CHELSEA fans are convinced they know the identity of their next striker after a promising young Serbian forward joined their sister club in France.

Fabrizio Romano reported today that Milos Lukovic, 18, will join Strasbourg from Serbian side IMT.

The transfer guru mentioned that Lukovic has been on the radar of Chelsea and their ownership group BlueCo “for a long time now”.

So fan’s put two and two together and now expect that the forward will be readied for the no9 at Chelsea by gaining top level European experience in Ligue 1.

Todd Boehly‘s ownership group BlueCo took over Strasbourg in June to become the club’s outright owner.

The investment provoked massive backlash from Strasbourg fans with ultras groups protesting with signs saying “Boehly go home”.

The club’s supporters group also wrote a letter to Strasbourg Club President Marc Keller criticising Boehly and Chelsea, saying: “Money without competence doesn’t lead to anything good.

“And the example of Chelsea, our so-called ‘big brother’, who have spent a lot of money but have had a vertical fall down the English hierarchy, is an important reference point: We don’t want to incompetence that reigns at Chelsea at RCSA. Neither directly, nor indirectly.”

Those issues aside, the advantage of Boehly’s ownership of Strasbourg means they can use the club as a finishing school for Chelsea’s next generation of players.

Lukovic has an impressive return of ten goals in 19 appearances in the Serbian league this season despite his young age.

One Blues fan wrote: “Lukovic come to Chelsea now” in response to a video of the forward banging them in for ITK.

Another fan wrote: “Let’s go” alongside a fire emoji.

A third wrote: “Another talent for Chelsea.”

Strasbourg are currently ninth in Ligue 1 and managed by former Crystal Palace manager Patrick Vieira.
