CHELSEA flop Joao Felix has had his plaque vandalised by fuming Atletico Madrid fans.

That’s after offering himself to fierce rivals Barcelona.

Felix, 23, is back in the Spanish capital after spending the second half of last season in London.

He was snapped up on loan by Todd Boehly after being frozen out of Diego Simeone’s side.

And Felix went on to score four goals in 20 games for Chelsea, despite receiving a straight red card on his debut.

He was hoping to complete a big-money permanent move to Stamford Bridge.

But new Blues boss Mauricio Pochettino opted against signing Felix.

And the playmaker now finds himself back at Atletico Madrid – STILL out of Simeone’s plans.

Felix continues to eye a big transfer away from the Wanda Metropolitano.

However, he committed the cardinal sin of announcing his desire to play for Atleti’s rivals Barcelona.

Felix said this week: “Barcelona has always been my first choice and I would love to join them.

“It was always my dream since I was a kid. If it happens, it will be a dream come true for me.”

Unsurprisingly, the Portugal star’s declaration did not go down well with Atletico supporters.

And they have now shown their disgruntlement by defacing Felix’s plaque outside the club’s stadium.

Photos posted online showed Felix’s name crossed out with a large X.

A common Spanish insult was also written on top of the plaque, while another message read: “He’s going to Barca.”

It’s not the first time Atletico fans have taken their frustrations out on a player’s plaque.

Thibaut Courtois was subjected to the same abuse when he left Chelsea for Real Madrid in 2018.

The Belgian had previously spent two seasons on loan at Atletico, helping them to title glory.

Courtois has since gone on to win two LaLigas and a Champions League with Real.

And Felix will now be hoping to secure his dream move to Barcelona following several sticky seasons.
