However, the Independent report that the Cottagers have agreed to sign Broja from their West London rivals.

The deal includes a £4million loan fee with conditions regarding the number of minutes he plays for Fulham.

If Broja does not play a certain number of games when fit and available then Fulham would be forced to pay more, the report adds.

Wolves had hoped to land the 22-year-old until the end of the season after agreeing the same terms with Chelsea.

The player has instead chosen to stay in London and head to Craven Cottage.

The signing is Marco Silva’s first of the January transfer window.

According to The Athletic, AC Milan also launched an approach before financial constraints scuppered any potential deal.

The Italian giants could still return for the Albanian international in the summer.
