CHELSEA could be close to landing Brazilian whizkid Deivid Washington.

The Blues have reportedly agreed personal terms with the Santos star ahead of a £17million move – with the 18-year-old then expected to be instantly loaned to Strasbourg.

Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano claims a deal is “imminent” with an “official bid submitted”.

Former Gremio schoolboy Washington is said to be keen on the switch.

And Brazilian TV station Globo reckon the feel will be 20m euros – around £17m.

The imminent transfer show news Chelsea chief Mauricio Pochettino is keen to plan for the future as much as the present.

Washington is under contract wit his home-county giants until April 2026.

His first senior goal arrived in a 3-0 home win over Bahia in the Brazilian top-flight on May 10 this year.
