CHELSEA are reportedly set to offer Cole Palmer a mega new contract – and they are confident he will stay with them for the next decade.
The 22-year-old is currently on holiday after being one of England’s top performers at Euro 2024 – despite NOT starting a single game.
Cole Palmer’s hot from is set to be rewarded by Chelsea[/caption]The forward came off the bench in five of the Three Lions’ seven matches and he scored a brilliant equaliser in the final before Spain’s late winner in Berlin.
Palmer, who also provided the assist for Ollie Watkins’ famous winner in the semi against Netherlands, sealed his place in the squad with a blistering first campaign at Chelsea.
The Blues paid £42.5m to Manchester City for him last summer and he repaid that faith with 25 goals.
Palmer penned a seven-year contract upon arrival at Stamford Bridge, which includes the option of a further 12 months, on £80,000-a-week.
That puts him at the lower end of wage scale within the England squad, while it is only just over a quarter of what Raheem Sterling pockets in West London.
Now The Telegraph are reporting that Chelsea “are mindful of this and will reward Palmer with incremental wage rises to better reflect his importance and performances”.
And they also add that they believe he will continue to play for them for the next ten years.
The report states that the terms of a new package are expected to “remain private”.

And rather than make an announcement regarding a new deal, the West London club “are more likely to privately adjust the salary in his current contract as a way of rewarding him”.
A source informed them: “Chelsea expect Cole to be at the club for the next 10 years.
“So of course they will look after him and make sure his wages reflect his performances.
“There is no need to do that publicly or with grand announcements.
“The club will work with Cole and his representatives, rather than doing their business in public.”
Chelsea believe that Palmer can continue to improve on his brilliant first season under new boss Enzo Maresca.
But he will not be among the players that fly out to America on Monday for their pre-season tour.
He is not due to report back until next month after his exploits at the Euros.
