The Blues completed the Uefa set in Wroclaw, with their Champions League triumph over Man City in 2021 securing them qualification to the Club World Cup.

During the run, Olivier Giroud scored six times in eight games, and comes up against his former side as part of the LAFC attack.

Giroud is one of two familiar faces the Blues will come up against, with former Uefa Player of the Year Jorginho recently signing for Flamengo, who are in Chelsea’s group.

Their foes in 2021’s final Man City will also be in action at the Club World Cup, winning a Champions League of their own in 2023.

SOME of the world’s biggest clubs are heading Stateside for a MAMMOTH Club World Cup.

Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain, Real Madrid, Man City, and Inter Miami are among the 32 teams taking part in the tournament, which runs from June 14 to July 13.

Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe, Erling Haaland, Ousmane Dembele, Cole Palmer and Harry Kane will be showing their skills to packed crowds across the US.

Los Blancos are favourites to lift the trophy in New York but will face stiff competition from around the globe.
