Chelsea vs Wrexham preview

Chelsea begin their pre-season preparations with a clash against EFL new boys Wrexham in the US.

Mauricio Pochettino hasn’t had long to work with his Blues squad but his plans can now be put into action in the first of five friendlies across the pond.

Christopher Nkunku and Nicolas Jackson will form part of a new look Blues attack, with a plethora of outgoings this summer.

With no European football ahead this season, it’s a big year for Chelsea in the other three competitions, with silverware expected and a Champions League spot a must after a torrid year last time out.

Wrexham’s players were rewarded by superstar owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney with a trip to Las Vegas after securing promotion back to the Football League.
