On X, she posted: “My husband @CliveTyldesley commentates on his last match for ITV, Denmark vs Germany, on Saturday after an incredible 28 years with @itvfootball. I am so proud of him.”
Tyldesley, 69, seemed to hint that the decision to move away from ITV was out of his control when speaking to The Athletic about his long-term commentary partnership with Ally McCoist.
He said: “I love his company, I love his company on the air, it’s nice when other people enjoy it but it’s not our decision to make”.
Fans have been enjoying his commentary throughout Euro 2024 so far and are particularly fond of his work alongside co-commentator McCoist.
Tyldesley has been working with ITV since 1996 and was previously the broadcaster’s lead football commentator.
However, he lost that role in 2020 with Sam Matterface taking over from the veteran.
Tyldesley made the same point back then that he has now, insisting that it was ITV who had made the decision for him to step back and not him.

Speaking after the change in a social media video said he said: “To be clear, this is ITV’s decision – not mine – and I am upset, annoyed, baffled.
“I totally respect ITV’s right to change their opinion of me, ITV have been really good for me and yes, I will carry on as their number two commentator.
Who is Euro 2024's sexiest star?
EURO 2024 has something for everyone from stunning goals, thrilling matches… and the continent’s biggest hunks, writes Jack Figg.
Several stars have lit up the group stages with their skills on the pitch – but others are also catching the eye for their looks.
But who is the sexiest?
Thankfully AI boffins have carried out an analysis on the facial attractiveness of all players at the tournament.
And it’s bad news for Gareth Southgate’s Three Lions who are the fourth UGLIEST in the competition – one place below Scotland.
In fact it’s England’s group rivals Serbia who have fans swooning the most – boasting an average score of 77.90/100 with defender Strahinja Pavlovic deemed their most attractive.
While Turkey defender Mert Muldur has been ranked as the tournament’s BEST-LOOKING player.

“But, let me make it quite clear – I have not stepped down, I have been moved aside.
“I’m just going to miss the England games so much, even more than I’ll miss the Champions League games and that is all.”
Now the decision has been made for Tyldesley to leave ITV as a commentator altogether.
His final game coming on Saturday means he has already provided the backdrop for his last ever England game, with Southgate’s men next taking to the pitch against Slovakia on Sunday.
Fans who will miss his iconic commentary and familiar voice don’t have to worry too much.
The smooth talking broadcaster is turning to the world of podcasting with his show The Football Authorities alongside former Aston Villa and Celtic manager Martin O’Neill.
Tyldesley’s time with ITV has seen him provide lead commentary for five World Cups, five European Championships, nine FA Cup finals and a whopping 17 Champions League finals.
