CONOR McGREGOR celebrated winning $200,000 after placing a huge $1MILLION bet.

McGregor was tuning in to watch Pereira defend his UFC light-heavyweight title against Khalil Rountree Jr.

And he posted online: “I AM PUTTING A MILLION U.S. DOWN ON A KO TAKING PLACE ONE WAY OR THE OTHER HERE IN THIS MAIN EVENT, @DuelbitsOdds are 1/5. A million wins back $200k. Let’s see…”

McGregor then rejoiced as Pereira stopped Rountree in round four to bank him £150,000.

He added: “$200k baby! THE RICH GET RICHER! Called it play by play! What a fighter, Poatan! Incredible.”

McGregor’s jubilance soon turned to bizarre anger as he urged Pereira to move up to heavyweight – not back down to middleweight.

The Irishman recorded himself reacting to Pereira’s post-fight interview.

And McGregor said: “Heavyweight – you call for heavyweight, now!

“Ah, leave it out if he says drop down to middleweight. Heavyweight! Don’t lie to yourself that was a heavy-cut.

“You’ve already done it, heavyweight!”

McGregor then doubled down as he called for Pereira to fight UFC heavyweight champion Jon Jones.

The Brazilian has won titles at 185lb and 205lb meaning a move to heavyweight paves the way for him to become the first three-weight UFC champ.

McGregor, 36, meanwhile has not fought since July 2021 when he broke his leg in the cage in the opening round against Dustin Poirier, 35.

And he suffered further setback when a toe injury forced him out of his scheduled June 29 return against Michael Chandler.

Chandler, 38, has since signed to rematch Charles Oliveira, 34, on November 16 to leave McGregor’s comeback up in the air.
