CONOR MCGREGOR has begged the UFC to grant his wish of a summer return.
The former two-division champion claimed last December that his long-awaited comeback fight with Michael Chandler would headline UFC 303 on June 29.

But ‘Roadhouse’ star McGregor is determined for his grand return to close out International Fight Week, saying: “I’m hoping to get it.
“You can tell Hunter [Campbell], your man, that you know to start to get the ball rolling.
“I’ve got this workload here, a lot of press, a lot of partying at St Patrick’s [Day].
“And after that, I’m in fight camp. I’ve got my team here, we’re ready to go.
“So hopefully June 29, please.”
McGregor, 35, hasn’t set foot inside the octagon since breaking his left leg in his trilogy fight with Dustin Poirier in July 2021.
The Dubliner has been champing at the bit to get back inside the cage since completing his painstaking rehab and hasn’t been shy in expressing his frustrations at the UFC brass.

He recently wrote on his Instagram story: “I wish for this on Mexican Independence Day in the sphere. Chandler June. [Nate] Diaz September.
“I have let this be known.”
The former feather and lightweight champion said of his return: “Still holding hope for June 29.
“Lack of action on it, however, is now causing lack of enthusiasm. I need a decision soon.
“I am the most tested athlete under this new regime. Yet no date to fight.
“The game is a bit lacklustre also at present, which isn’t helping. I hope these next few cards pop and I get a date.
“Eliminate distractions and begin real work towards it.”
