CONOR McGREGOR reckons he has made some Hollywood “enemies” after rejecting “a good few” film roles.

The Irish icon makes his debut on the big screen in a reboot of Patrick Swayze’s classic Road House.

McGregor stars as the antagonist clashing with the film’s main character, played by Jake Gyllenhaal.

The role has been a long time coming for the UFC legend, who has snubbed previous acting gigs in the past.

He told Total Film: “I had turned down a good few roles in my time on the climb.

“I’ve had directors show up at fight camp, really beautiful directors doing really top-end movies… and over and over, they’d come to me, and I always turned them down.

“I’d leave people a little high and dry. I probably have a few enemies out there that I don’t really know of because I had said, ‘I might do it’.”

McGregor was cast in “xXx: The Return of Zander Cage”, in 2016.

But following his shock defeat to Nate Diaz, he pulled out and instead focused on their rematch fight, which he won.

Director DJ Caruso was “really p****d” with McGregor and later gave the role to Britain’s Michael Bisping.

McGregor, 35, has been out the cage since July 2021 when he broke his leg against Dustin Poirier, 34.

The time out freed him up to take the acting role, with filming beginning in August 2022.

And the movie is set for release on March 8 Amazon Prime.

McGregor said: “I was just in awe of it all, to be honest with you, the whole process. I didn’t know how I was going to take to it.

“I didn’t know whether I was going to like it, to be honest. I’m a fighting man. That’s my bread and butter. It’s where I come from.

“I’m not an actor, but I’m show business. That was my vibe to it. I felt that. I enjoyed every second of it.”
