The ex-Manchester United, Real Madrid and Juventus striker, 38, decided to make the grand gesture to celebrate her turning 69.

Ronaldo gave her a brand new Porsche Cayenne – and she instantly started to cry with joy after his son Cristiano Jr presented her with the motor.

The five-time Ballon D’or winner jetted out from Saudi Arabia in the middle of the night in order to be in Madeira for her birthday yesterday.

Several images were shared on social media by his sister Katia Aveiro as he gifted Maria the incredible motor.

And was not only a shock for his mum, it left the entire party.

Katia wrote a message on Instagram along with the footage that said: “If she is happy, it is because her son remembers her and not because of the value of the gift.

“Honor your father and your mother and your days on earth will be long.”

Ronaldo is currently enjoying a break away from football during the winter.
