CRISTIANO RONALDO has bagged two hat-tricks in two games for Al-Nassr – the 64th and 65th of his career.
The Portuguese made it back-to-back trebles as Al Nassr thrashed Abha 8-0 on Tuesday night, after scoring three in the 5-2 win against Al Taee the game before.
Ronaldo is on track for another goals record[/caption] The Man Utd star has scored two hat-tricks in two games[/caption]Against Abha, the 39-year-old opened the scoring in the eleventh minute with a low free-kick, which keeper Ciprian Tatarusanuthen won’t want to see again.
But the stopped could do nothing about Ronaldo’s second effort as the Portuguese icon lashed another free-kick into the top corner.
And CR7 wasn’t done there, as he darted through one-on-one before scooping a sumptuous first-time lob over helpless Tatarusanu from outside the box.
That earned Ronaldo a new tribute from superfan Piers Morgan, who wrote on X: “The GOAT @Cristiano doing yet more GOAT things tonight… two brilliant free kick goals, this one vintage Ronaldo.”
And the former Manchester United and Real Madrid star’s goal glut could see him scoop himself another all-time record.
Ronaldo is Saudi Pro League’s top scorer with 29 goals this term – and could become the first player in history to win the Golden Boot across FOUR different countries.
He has, of course, already topped the charts in England, Spain and Italy and Saudi Pro League is next on the cards.
Ronaldo’s crazy run has seen him overtake former Fulham star Aleksandar Mitrovic, who is out for six weeks due to an injury.
But Mitrovic could well have the last laugh, with his Al-Hilal still twelve points ahead at the top of the table, and yet to lose a game this season.
Luis Suarez and Ruud Van Nistelrooy are the only players to have also won the Golden Boot across three different European leagues along with Ronaldo.
Suarez could also notch a fourth this season after signing for Inter Miami in the MLS… but he’ll have to outscore Ronaldo’s old rival Lionel Messi to do it.
Ronaldo won the Premier League Golden Boot in the 2007-08 season when he scored 31 goals in 34 games for Manchester United.
Then winning the Pichichi Trophy for the top goal scorer three times for Real Madrid in 2011, 2014 and in 2015 with an astonishing 48 goals in 35 appearances.
Ronaldo’s last Golden Boot was the Serie’s A top goal scorer in the 2020-21 season when he finished with 29 league goals.
