The 38-year-old has been signed to Nike since 2003 and is currently contracted to a £147million, 10-year deal with the Oregon based company.

He is regarded as one of their top athletes and has featured in a huge amount of advertising campaigns for the brand over the years.

Adidas are widely considered as Nike’s biggest rivals in the sportswear industry.

SunSport have contacted Ronaldo’s representatives for comment.

The former Real Madrid star was taking part in the Saudi Arabian club’s pre-season clash with La Liga side Celta Vigo.

The mid-table Spanish team swept Al-Nassr aside with ease as they won the game 5-0.

Ronaldo played the first 45 minutes, but was rested in the second half when all five goals were scored.

Al-Nassr are set for even tougher tests as they continue their pre-season tour ahead of the upcoming season.
