UFC chief White is yet to announce the main event or location for UFC 300, but fans now know the names of six fighters who will be on the roster.

One is former Light Heavyweight champion Jiri Prochazka, 31, who is ranked second in the divison following his defeat to Alex Pereira last month.

He will face number fifth-ranked Alexander Rakic, 31, who will have spent almost two years out of the octagon by the time the fights rolls around, having last fought and lost to Jan Błachowicz in May 2022.

Elsewhere 5-0 prospect Bo Nickal takes on Cody Brundage in a Middleweight clash.

Nickal, 27, impressed with two wins this year and won performance of the night for his submission win over Jamie Pickett at UFC 285 in March.

But Brundage could prove a tricky opponent with his last four wins all coming via first-round stoppages.

He had lost three in a row before responding with back-to-back wins in September and December, though has only fought once at a UFC main event so UFC 300 will be a huge occasion for the 29-year-old.

White also announced a third fight between Calvin Kattar and Aljamain Sterling, 34.

Former Bantamweight champion Sterling is looking to bounce back from his defeat to Sean O’Malley last time out.

Prior to that he won nine on the bounce and defended his title on three occasions, while Kattar, 35, has lost three of his last four.

There is speculation Conor McGregor could be added to the card after White teased the UFC legend’s inclusion.

McGregor has not fought since breaking his leg against Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 in July 2021.

The Notorious also fuelled speculation he could return by tweeting: “Champ Champ camp”.

McGregor is a two-division UFC champion having claimed the Lightweight and Featherweight titles in his career.
