Darts fans fume ‘totally unacceptable’ as major stream goes down on World Championship semi-finals night

DARTS fans were left furious after PDCTV crashed during the first World Championship semi-final on Thursday.

Viewers were unable access the website stream to watch Michael van Gerwen‘s clash with Chris Dobey and shared their frustration on social media.

One person wrote: “It’s the worlds semi finals night totally unacceptable.”

Another commented: “To not even tweet until the walk ons or later is a complete joke.”

A third said: “30 minutes into the broadcast they notice it. Bull***t… just embarrassing.”

Amid the issues with the website, the PDC’s official X account urged fans to tune in via an app.

A short statement read: “If you are having trouble watching on PDCTV currently – please tune in via the PDC app.”

In a separate statement, a spokesperson wrote: “We are working on a solution for the website imminently, but streaming is still available via the PDC app.”

Van Gerwen took a 2-0 lead in the match before Dobey got a set back.

However, the Dutchman quickly extended his advantage and went on to win 6-1.
