Two-time World Darts Championship quarter-finalist Webster raced into a 3-0 lead before being pegged back.

Meulenkamp won four legs in a row to seal victory – but Webster stormed off without shaking his hand.

A fuming Webster took to social media to reveal why he was so worked up, claiming the Dutchman farted at the oche.

He wrote on social media: “Well when you play a guy who farts and stinks the stage out and denies it then kick you when you’re playing the stall every throw because they are shit good luck for the future but I’m not interested rant over.”

And when asked if Meulenkamp’s slow play irked him, Webster responded: “He was k**b end of.”

Meulenkamp is not the first Dutch player to be accused of farting on stage following an incident in 2018.

Two-time world champion Gary Anderson claimed there was a smell of rotten eggs coming from opponent Wesley Harms.

He said: “It definitely came from table-side and it was eggs, rotten eggs, but not from me.

“Every time I walked past there was a waft of rotten eggs so that’s why I was thinking it was him.

“If the boy thinks I’ve farted he’s 1010 per cent wrong. I swear on my children’s lives that it was not my fault.”

A furious Harms later fired back, saying: “It’ll take me two nights to lose this smell from my nose.

“I didn’t know things like this can also happen within the PDC.”
