The 16-year-old’s career income was £2,500 before the World Darts Championships — but he pocketed £200,000 after his amazing run to the final, where he lost to Luke Humphries, 28.

After the final, HMRC came under fire for pointing out on X/Twitter that Luke the Nuke was liable for £83,000 tax on his prize money.

But experts predict the Warrington wonderkid — who turns 17 on Sunday — will earn millions by the time he is 21.

And they estimate he will bank £40million in the course of his career.

A source said: “Luke has taken the darts world by storm – and he has moved quickly to secure his financial future.

“He is going to earn mind-boggling amounts of money in the near-future and this will help him keep everything on track and keep tabs on his finances.

“It is amazing that someone aged 16 has set up his own business – but everything about Luke’s story is amazing.

“He has brought millions of fresh eyes to darts and been bombarded with commercial offers.

“Luke is also a social media sensation, and that is a huge avenue to make money.”
