DARTS star Gerwyn Price has raged at an autograph hunter who secretly filmed him with a pair of glasses.
Former world champion Price, 39, shared a screenshot of the clip taken when he was walking next to a road.
Price shared a screenshot of the footage on Instagram along with his statement[/caption]And he accompanied the image with a lengthy statement as he claimed the individual, who had “hands and bags full of merchandise”, proceeded to “invade my personal space”.
Speaking on Instagram, he said: “I’m so happy this has been posted, these people are the reason we don’t sign things, and are the people that spoil it for the real darts fans.
“What you don’t see is hands and bags full of merchandise… and also this guy is filming from a pair of glasses unknown to the players.
“Goes to show what sort of people are out there.
“Please share this as this has invaded my personal space and I haven’t given this person the right to film me and put on social media.
“These people turn up at hotels and don’t even attend events.
“No signing for u mate and I’m so glad I spotted that u was one of them.”
Some of the Welshman’s fans on social media were quick to respond with messages of support for the World No5.

One replied: “The worst type of people mate.”
Another added: “I’d love to get your autograph. You are my darts hero. Why do horrible people have to spoil things?”
A third said: “Only trying to benefit from it, the rats.”
While a fourth responded: “Same with footballers, you see grown men pushing in front of kids to get things signed etc to sell on .”
Meanwhile on the oche, Price sits seventh in the eight-man Premier League standings after 10 of the 16 nights.
Last time out in Manchester, he made his second final of the season but failed to claim a first nightly win of 2024 as he was beaten by teenage sensation Luke Littler.
But he had already grabbed headlines prior to the final as he hit a nine-darter earlier in the evening in his victory over Michael Smith.
