Rice, 24, joined Arsenal in the summer in a £105million move from London rivals West Ham,

The midfielder headed past Thomas Kaminski with practically the last touch of the game.

The match had been a thriller and had looked set to end 3-3 after a brave performance from the Hatters.

Rice’s goal sparked wild celebrations from Arsenal which reportedly continued into the dressing room.

The Daily Mail have claimed that the former Hammer was serenaded with the Vanilla Ice song Ice Ice Baby by his team-mates.

The tune has often been sung about Rice, thanks to it rhyming with his name.

Rice initiated the song during an appearance on Sky’s A League Of Their Own.

Rice also starred in a Muller Yoghurt advert campaign with the slogan being ‘Rice Rice Baby’.

He said: “He had an incredible game again.

“The leadership, the quality that he’s showing every week and every game.
