DEONTAY WILDER has given his prediction for Anthony Joshua’s upcoming clash with Swedish heavyweight Otto Wallin.

Joshua, 34, will fight for the third time this year when he steps into the ring in Saudi Arabia on December 23.

The Olympic gold medallist will appear on the same card as American knockout artist Wilder, 38, with the Alabama boxer preparing to take on one of AJ’s former opponents, Joseph Parker.

If both Joshua and Wilder win in the Middle East, they are expected to face one another next year.

And Wilder has backed the two-time world heavyweight champion to stop Wallin – whose only defeat in 27 professional bouts came at the hands of Tyson Fury in 2019.

When asked by ESNews for a prediction, Wilder said: “Joshua. I think Joshua knocks him out. Six to eight rounds.”

Joshua has beaten Jermaine Franklin and Robert Helenius since suffering back-to-back defeats at the hands of Oleksandr Usyk.

Meanwhile, Wilder has fought just once since losing to Tyson Fury for a second time in October 2021.

That appearance resulted in a first-round KO victory over Helenius in October 2022.

Legendary heavyweight Evander Holyfield recently had his say on a potential Joshua-Wilder fight.

And he believes AJ is a perfect opponent for the concussive punching power Wilder possesses.

He told ES News: “I think Wilder will get him.

“He stands off and he’s open, and when you’re open that way [Wilder] will get the right hand on you.”
