LUKE LITTLER may have eerily predicted his epic nine-darter FIVE DAYS before the Bahrain Darts Masters.

The Warrington wonderkid, who turns 17 on Sunday, smashed in a nine-darter, 170 finish and won his first senior event the Bahrain Masters on Friday night.

Littler became the youngest-ever player to hit a perfect leg in a major senior event – just 16 days after reaching the World Championship final and picking up a cool £200,000.

During a visit to Old Trafford a week ago to watch Manchester United‘s 2-2 draw with Tottenham, Littler was asked, ironically, whether he’d rather score a hat-trick or hit a nine-darter.

And he replied: “Nine-darter.”

Just five days later he would hit his perfect leg in Bahrain against Nathan Aspinall.

He also admitted that their comeback win against Atalanta in October 2021 was his favourite night watching the Reds.

He said: “We were 2-0 to Atalanta in the Champions League. We come back and won.

“[Harry] Maguire, [Marcus] Rashford and then I saw [Cristiano] Ronaldo score the winner.”

He was also asked which other dart player would be good in a football team, he said: “Dirk van Duijvenbode, very tall put him at the back.”

Littler also reckoned that the best darts nickname for Rashford would be “goalscorer” and Scott McTominay “leader”.

The new oche hero met Sir Alex Ferguson at Old Trafford along with Bruno Fernandes.

He also revealed that David Beckham had slid into his DMs and told him: “Well done, once a red, always a red.”
