Eagle-eyed fans left baffled by bizarre difference to Brennan Johnson’s Tottenham kit during Newcastle clash

FANS have been baffled after spotting that Brennan Johnson’s shirt was missing the Tottenham badge.

The Spurs star was spotted by eagle-eyed supporters without the club’s historic crest on his jersey in the match against Newcastle.

Johnson, 22, joined Tottenham in the summer in a transfer from boyhood club Nottingham Forest.

In the match against the Magpies, his kit appeared to be different from his team-mates.

Johnson’s white home shirt was lacking one important feature, the club crest.

Fans were left baffled by the difference as they flocked to social media.

One commented: “Why does Brennan Johnson have no badge on his kit.”

A second wrote: “Brennan Johnson has lost the club badge from his shirt… How often does that happen?!”

A third posted: “Are my eyes alright or does Brennan Johnson not have a Spurs badge on his shirt.”

It has been confirmed that the badge fell off Johnson’s shirt during the match.

Tottenham were still able to do the business on the pitch, even if one shirt was falling apart.

The hosts ran riot against Newcastle as they returned to winning ways with a 4-1 victory.
