EDDIE HEARN was involved in a heated on-stage confrontation with a rival boxing promoter ahead of Anthony Joshua vs Daniel Dubois.

Hearn, who promotes Matchroom Boxing, was seen on stage next to BOXXER promoter Ben Shalom, who was promoting Tyler Denny who is fighting on the undercard.

The pair shared centre stage on the AJ v Dubois undercard press conference on Thursday night.

However, video shared to social media from the event appeared to show Hearn and Shalom getting into a heated conversation with one another.

And Shalom has claimed that Hearn threatened to “knock him out”.

Speaking to IFL TV afterwards, Shalom said: “He said he was gonna knock me out. I thought he wasn’t rattled?

“I said as a joke, ‘I didn’t realise this was your fight,’ during Joshua Buatsi’s face-off.

“It was literally a joke. But yeah he wasn’t too happy…

“To be threatened to be knocked out by a guy who’s nearly 50 was an interesting one.”

But Hearn, 45, has insisted he did mean it as a joke.

Joshua vs Dubois fight predictions

THIS weekend Wembley will witness one of the biggest all-British fights of all-time.

But who will emerge victorious under the famous arch? Some of the biggest names in boxing have been having their say…

Oleksandr Usyk: “My favourite is Anthony Joshua but I am very bad at predictions. But I will predict Anthony Joshua.”

Dillian Whyte: “I just think that it’s one of those fights where it is a genuine 50/50 fight in my opinion.”

Joe Joyce: “I was initially edging with Joshua but I don’t know, Dubois is coming on.”

Frazer Clarke: “As heavy-handed as Dubois is and as good a fighter as he’s becoming, I still have to go for Joshua.”

Francis Ngannou: “Even though Joshua lost against Usyk twice and Dubois fought Usyk and almost knocked him down and almost won, I would still give this to Joshua.”

He told Boxing Social: “It was a joke really. He said, ‘What are you doing in this picture?’ I said, ‘I’ll knock you out.’

“I felt bad because he froze like a ghost and now he’s doing all these interviews saying he got threatened…

“He said he was joking, so was I. I spoke to lost and found and asked if anyone finds his a***hole to let us know.”

The main card gets underway at Wembley tonight and ring walks are expected to be at around 11pm.
