THOMAS Burgess has swapped tonking Tonga for festive fun – for the good of his own elf.
For the England rugby league international stars as just about the biggest ever of Santa’s little helpers in a brilliant new video.
The South Sydney Rabbitohs ace teamed up with clubmates Alex Johnston and Damien Cook alongside Aussie kids’ TV sensations The Wiggles in We Three Elves.
Showing off his dancing moves to the tune, the 31-year-old sings: “We three elves, helping out down Santa’s way. We sleep in the morning and we work, a work, a work all day.”
Workplace relations in Lapland must also be good as he belts out: “Santa’s got us happy on the workshop floor. There’s reindeers and ribbons and there’s toys galore.”
And despite being described as ‘the biggest elf ever’ and opening himself up to all kinds of banter with his Test colleagues, the hulking prop is not bothered.
Daughters Elodie and Sophie love it, so that is enough.
Burgess, who stands at 6ft 5ins and weighs in at more than 18 stone, said: “It was pretty cool to work with The Wiggles on their new Christmas album!
“Also, my girls think it’s awesome so that’s all that matters.”
