England vs Greece preview
The international break returns and England continue their Nations League campaign with a tricky clash against Greece at Wembley on Thursday evening.
Interim manager Lee Carsley started his tenure in good style with successive 2-0 victories over Ireland and Finland during the last international period.
He remains in charge and will, for the first time, have Jude Bellingham, Phil Foden and Cole Palmer at his disposal.
England have won 16 of their last 21 competitive home matches across all competitions, including each of their last five. They’ve also registered six clean sheets in their last nine such fixtures.
Carsley should also have talisman Harry Kane fit and available for selection following a brief injury scare.
Kane has scored 26 goals in 26 competitive home appearances for the Three Lions, scoring on each of his last six such outings.
And he’s likely to be needed given Greece have drawn their last two away competitive matches against England.
Ivan Jovanovic’s side have won both of their opening fixtures against Ireland and Finland without conceding, and sit top of the group on goal difference.
In fact, since the inaugural Nations League in 2018-19, no team has won more games in the competition than Greece.
They are, however, winless in their last 12 matches against nations ranked inside the top five of the FIFA rankings.

England vs Greece preview betting tips and predictions
Slow start
I’ve got my doubts that this one will be a classic. Both sides have very impressive defensive records in recent times, with both yet to conceded in this year’s competition.
Greece conceded just one shot on target against Ireland and Finland, while the Three Lions boast the exact same record against the same opponents.
As mentioned, Greece have conceded the fewest goals (8) and kept the most clean sheets (14) of any nation since the inaugural UEFA Nations League in 2018-19.
England have also failed to score before half-time in nine of their last 14 matches.

Breakthrough
England will undoubtedly make the breakthrough at some point in this contest, and it’s difficult to look beyond captain Harry Kane to clinch the opener.
Kane, 31, is enjoying another profitable campaign having netted 10 goals and provided six assists in his opening 10 matches of the season. He also boasts 68 goals in 100 games when playing for England.
As mentioned, he’s scored 26 goals in 26 competitive home appearances for the Three Lions, scoring on each of his last six such outings. He also remains on penalty duty.
