On Friday, England boss Wiegman insisted that no stone has been left unturned ahead of Saturday’s game.

She said: “Haiti are for the first time at a World Cup. For us, everyone is fit. We’re ready to go.

“They have a team that is athletic and very opportunistic – some unpredictability also, but we’re going to try to play our own game.

“Basically I’ve decided [my starting XI], but I’m not going to tell you. We know everything we need to know about Haiti. There are no stones unturned in preparation for this game.”

Speaking about England’s recent form, Haiti manager Nicolas Delepine referenced the fact that the Lionesses have failed to score in each of their last three games.

He said: “They have great players, they’re a very tough team to play, they’re obviously very good on the attacking side but they maybe have a problem with finishing.

“We don’t fear anything. We’ll see [what happens] on the pitch, first we have to play our football, our strengths.”
