CHELSEA supporters were left completely baffled as Enzo Fernandez arrived for training with a cat in his rucksack – but not everything is as it seems.
The Blues were slammed by fans as they suffered a 1-0 loss in the first-leg of their Carabao Cup semi-final at Middlesbrough on Tuesday.
Chelsea’s Enzo Fernandez caused a stir on Instagram yesterday[/caption] He appeared to bring a cat to training with him and left fans bemused[/caption]Now they are preparing to try and bounce back from that setback and pick up a third-straight Premier League victory in tomorrow’s West London derby at home to Fulham.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side were back at their Cobham HQ on Thursday for training and the club’s social media account shared several snaps of their squad arriving for duty.
Thiago Silva and Noni Madueke were two of the players caught on camera, but it was £107m midfielder Fernandez that got most fans talking.
The Argentina World Cup winner, 22, was pictured outside the main entrance at the club’s base with a rucksack that appeared to have a cat inside of it and comments soon flooded into the post made on Chelsea’s Instagram account.
“Enzo brought a cat,” responded one bemused follower.
Another commented “Enzo cute cat” while a fellow supporter wrote: “That meow! So cute.”
A fourth said: “Wft is Enzo carrying?”
As a fifth asked: “Is that a real cat??”

However, we can reveal that Fernandez had not brought a pet training.
The rucksack, in fact, is in fact a branded one for the new spy thriller movie Argylle, which arrives on the silver screen in the UK on February 2.
The film has been building up anticipation for its release by releasing the bags along with the message: “Once you know the secret don’t let the cat out of the bag”.
And the official Instagram account took full advantage of the open goal presented to them by Chelsea.
After spotting the former Benfica ace’s snap, they jumped into the comments themselves and wrote: “Just remember: don’t let the cat out of the bag.”
