FANS claimed Sean Dyche looked unrecognisable after he ditched his usual match attire.

The 52-year-old’s Everton hosted Nottingham Forest in a crunch relegation showdown this afternoon.

The Toffees came into the game on the back of a 6-0 thumping by Chelsea and one win in their last 15 matches.

They were just two points above the Premier League drop zone and just one ahead of rivals Forest going into the showdown at Goodison Park.

Both clubs have fallen foul of financial fair play and been hit with punishments this term.

Everton were firstly hit with a ten point deduction – later reduced to six on appeal – while Forest got a four point punishment after breaching the Premier League’s Profitability and Sustainability Rules.

Both teams may also be hit with more punishments – making today’s game eleven more vital in the battle to stay up.

And it seemed that Dyche was leaving no stone unturned in trying to secure a vital victory as he ditched his traditional matchday shirt and tie for a tracksuit.

One shocked viewer posted on X: “Sean Dyche in a trackie? I barely recognise him.

“He’s decided his suit is unlucky after over 500 games with it on.”

Another wrote: “Sean Dyche is a tracksuit?! Games gone…”

A third said: “Tracksuit manager Sean Dyche is such a weird sight.”

A fourth commented: “Dyche in a tracksuit just looks wrong.”

Another asked: “Did Dyche spill his usual pre match meal of worm soup down his shirt?

“Why’s he wearing a tracksuit?”

A sixth said: “Sean Dyche looks so different in a tracksuit!”

While a seventh wrote: Dyche wearing the tracksuit. He is serious.”

Even Sky Sports acknowledged that it was the first time that Dyche had worn training gear instead of a suit since he took over at Everton in January 2023.

It seemed that move had proven to be a lucky one after Everton took the lead.

A defensive clearance fell straight to Idrissa Gueye and the Senegal international took a touch before sweeping a strike past Matz Sels to break the deadlock.
