EX-ARSENAL star Wojciech Szczesny has declared his aim to swap boots for blueprints … by becoming an ARCHITECT.
The Polish keeper was part of the Gunners‘ defensive wall for nine years, winning the 2015 FA Cup.
Poland’s goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny has revealed a shock new career change[/caption]Now with Juventus, Szczesny is currently on Euro 2024 duty with Poland.
But the 34-year-old has already drawn up plans to build a new career when he retires.
“I have a couple of plans,” he said.
“All of them are more or less related to the development business.
“Some are pure real estate, others are related to architecture. I would like these businesses to correlate with each other.
“I would like to study architecture. Ever since I was a young boy I had a very strange dream.
“When I lived on the tenth floor in Grochow, I could not see the centre of Warsaw.
“On the other hand there was a small window in the staircase, from which you could see the panorama of Warsaw perfectly.

“Looking through this window, I thought I would design a building that would change the view of the city.
“And this is still valid. I would love to design one, build it and sell it.
“Of course it will not happen right away, that I will end my career and in five years’ time I will build 150 floors in Warsaw.
“But that is my goal, to pursue it step by step. My projects, both personal and professional, have become bigger over time.
“In this development and architectural dream I have so far tried to make larger and larger investments to prepare, hoping one day the dream will come to fruition.
“It may not happen, but the most important thing is to take small steps all the time.”
Szczesny made 181 first-team Arsenal appearances following his 2006 arrival from Legia Warsaw.
He also had loan spells with Brentford and Roma before Juventus paid £11million for him in 2017.
Now he is reportedly set to link up with former Juventus teammate Cristiano Ronaldo at Al-Nassr.
It’s reckoned that the three-time Serie A winner has opened talks with the Saudi Arabian club, who also boast former Premier League stars Sadio Mane, Aymeric Laporte and Alex Telles.
The Saudi side also have former Arsenal teammate and rival goalie David Ospina on their books.
