LUTON star Teden Mengi was left embarrassed on his return to Old Trafford.

The centre-back played the entire 90 minutes as the Hatters were beaten 1-0 by Manchester United.

But before the start of the game, Mengi made a hilarious error that made himself giggle.

He first joined United at the age of seven and he featured twice in the first-team.

The 21-year-old secured a permanent transfer to Luton in the summer and on his return to his former club, seemingly forgot he left.

Mengi hoped off the team bus at Old Trafford and said hello to a member of staff on his way in.

He then switched off and casually strolled into the home dressing room by mistake.

Mengi swiftly realised his error and walked back out the changing room and across to the correct team’s area with a smile on his face.

He was less happy after the game when trudging back down the tunnel as the defeat left Luton 18th in the table.

On his way off the pitch, Mengi and fellow ex-United star Tahith Chong were both greeted by Erik ten Hag.

The defender recently opened up about his decision to join Luton, explaining that he signed for more first-team chances and a new challenge.

Mengi also revealed that he and Ten Hag both agreed that Rob Edwards‘ side was the best destination for him.
